FLANKERS

Flanker is the industry term for a new version of an existing perfume. Sometimes the brand launches a flanker because the previous was a success or the other way around, it was a failure.

Flankers are supposed to be variations on the same theme.

There are flankers that are permanent, others seasonal, lighter versions of the same perfume or heavier versions.

Flanker é a definição dada pela indústria de perfumes, para uma nova versão de um perfume pré-existente, pq o primeiro foi um sucesso ou um verdadeiro fracasso.

Flankers supostamente são variações do mesmo tema.

Podem ser permanentes ou sazonais, versão mais leve, mais fresca, ou mais intensa.

Eau de Cologne e Aftershave não são a mesma coisa

Aftershave é uma loção, gel ou líquido, usado após a barba.Pode conter um antiséptico, como o álcool, para prevenir infecções devido a cortes feitos com a lâmina de barbear. Pode conter uma fragrância ou não. Poderá conter também
um emoliente para suavizar a pele.
Eau de Cologne é uma formula com uma concentração
de fragrância de 2 a 5%,
diluída em álcool.
A primeira Água de Colônia foi inventada em 1709,
por um perfumista Italiano
chamado Giovanni Maria Farina.
A fórmula original das Colônias continha
óleos cítricos, como o de limão, laranja, bergamota, tangerina, grapefruit, lima e néroli. Poderia conter também lavanda, alecrim, tomilho, petit grain e jasmim.
Hoje o termo tornou-se genérico para a concentração de fragrância.
