There are moments in a life of a perfume blogger when words cannot be found, or are not enough to describe a thought, a feeling.
My beloved perfumer Mona di Orio has passed away.
I have small vials of her fragrances, and this is what I will keep from her. Drop by drop, every scent contains her beautiful soul, her passion for fragrances and her ability to create art. I will keep them close to my heart.
Rest in Peace my dearest fragrant lady.
We are all going to miss you.
I know I will.
If you wish to leave here a message of peace to her or to her beloved ones, I will send them all to her business partner Jos, so he will forward them to her family.

Gone far too soon!
It's wonderful scents like "Les Nombres d'Or - Cuir" that make you wonder what other marvels Mona might very well have been up to!
(Simone, I must thank you again for having Mona send me those samples several months ago. Doesn't it show how kind she was? She might have known you, but she certainly didn't know me. And although she was a very busy, up-and-coming lady in the perfume world who really had better things to do than familiarize me to her perfume world, she still did. What a heart!)
XOXO, Michael
Dear beloved,
she was really kind, and it makes me very happy that she indeed did this gentle move to send you her fragrances.
But on second thought, why wouldn't she. You are a special person yourself!!!
