M.O.U.S.S.E EDP and M.O.U.S.S.E II EDP fragrance reviews

JOHN KENNEDY

John Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr. left this world 14 years ago leaving one entire generation of Americans with no substitute. Once considered the sexiest man alive (People Magazine, 1988), John John was American royalty. The son of Jackie and John Kennedy was a brilliant young man. A pilot, a lawyer, a publicist, a socialite and a man who could not scape the curse of the Kennedy family.

JOHN KENNEDY

People used to say that John would light up the room every time he entered. There was something special about this young man. He had an aura.
Despite the family name and all the glory that came with it, he had his own personal style. He was sportive, energetic, urban, hip and casual and most of all, unique.

The first time I opened M.O.U.S.S.E  and M.O.U.S.S.E II (both EDPs) by Oliver & Co. I thought of John John. In my mind, John F. Kennedy Jr would love to wear this fragrance because it expresses everything he was. It is chic without being snobby. It is sexy but not overdone. It is genuine and grounded.

M.O.U.S.S.E  is described by the brand as spicy, wild, hedonist, dynamic, smart, pure and upbeat, the perfume contains notes of sandalwood Mysore, oak moss, clove bud Madagascar, lavender absolute, lime peel from Mexico, aldehydes and musk.

"M.O.U.S.S.E is Oliver Valverde’s first creation. Originally thought as a simple yet potent fragrance, created with the intention of producing something slightly wild and at the same time sophisticatedly out there. The iso e molecule amplifies and heightens the fragrance’s thickness and spiciness. A curious combination. A vital and optimist scent".

While M.O.U.S.S.E II is described as aquatic, peppery, vigorous, luminous, clean, fleeting, energetic, with notes of sandalwood Mysore, oak moss, iso e super, clove bud Madagascar, lavender absolute, lime peel from Mexico, mint, cardamom from Guatemala, musk, ambergris and lily of the valley.

"A daytime alternative to Oliver & Co.’s premier scent. Refreshing and luminous. This formula follows the original M.O.U.S.S.E. combination with a twist of mint, cardamom and ambergris notes, giving M.O.U.S.S.E. II a more aquatic, energetic and transparent character to take on the day".

While M.O.U.S.S.E EDP is urban John, M.O.U.S.S.E II is a prince relaxing or sailing in Cape Cod - Hyannis Port beach. It is also a more sensual John.
While M.O.U.S.S.E would easily go with his ties and suits, presenting a duality of austerity and modernity; M.O.U.S.S.E II would give him a perfect refreshing and yet still chic aura at the beach, or later dinning at Martha's Vineyard.
In any way, Oliver is Spanish and probably never met or thought of John F. Kennedy Jr., but when I told him I was going to relate his both fragrances to the American prince, he found the idea super cool, brilliant indeed.

So here it is my dears, a whiff of American royalty created by Spanish niche perfumery!

You will find both fragrances at OLIVER & CO WEBSITE.
