A rosa ardente, vermelha, voluptuosa, gritante e deslumbrante.
Notas de gengibre, bergamota, pimenta preta.
Uma fragrância leitosa, doce, espermática.
Notas de rosa búlgara, gerânio, jasmim.
Rosa sangrenta, violenta, imponente, espinhuda.
Notas de patchouli, musk, cacau e incenso.
Rosa doce, pecado achocolatado.
Dragão tatuado no braço, luxúria tatuada no sexo.

I am crazy about spanish director Pedro Almodóvar.
His eccentric characters, this complex stories, extremely dramatic with a funny touch on the side. His peculiar sense of humor, his sensibility, his Spanish cynical brushes on a live canvas.
His scrambled narrative exposing the different sides of human nature. Touches me, surprises me.
Above all this features, Kika is always my favorite.
Surreal, bizarre, Kika, is married and has a love affair with the uncle of her husband. Blackmailed by Joana, her maid and an ex-girlfriend of her husband.
The girlfriend is Victoria Abril, amazing actress, and Joana, my favorite spanish actress Rossy de Palma.
Rossy de Palma is a cubist vision. With her huge nose and thin face and round eyes, she looks like one of Picasso's paintings.
She models for many famous stylists including Jean Paul Gaultier, because of her amazing different beauty.
The niche house Etat Libre d'Orange created Eau de Protection for this Spanish Diva.
Etat Libre d'Orange is famous for its extravagancies, for being olfactive mercenaries and for creating sexual appealing perfumes.
Created by Antoine Lie and Antoine Maisondieu, this is what I call a dramatic rose perfume!
Burning hot, red, luxurious, vibrating, shouting, deliciously sensual rose.
Notes of ginger, black pepper, bergamot.
Milk, sweet, spermatic juices.
Notes of bulgarian rose, geranium, jasmine.
Bleeding rose, violent, thorny,
Notes patchouli, musk, cacao, incense.
Sweet rose, chocolate sins.
Sexual dragon tattooed on the skin.
Domination, irreverence.
Spanish dramatic & orgasmic diva.
If you dare to wear, the men crossing your path will be verging of a nervous breakdown!

Israel conquista/Israel wins!

Rafi Haddad Receives 2008 Science of Fragrance Award

Rafi Haddad, a researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel has received the 2008 Science of Fragrance award in recognition of his investigation “Predicting Odor Pleasantness with An Electronic Nose.” Haddad presented his research results at the July 2008 International Symposium on Olfaction and Taste in San Francisco. He was the lead researcher on the project along with David Harel and Noam Sobel.

Odor pleasantness is a primary dimension of olfactory perception, yet how much of this dimension is learned and how much is innate remains a topic of debate. Haddad theorized that the innate aspect of odor pleasantness should be rigidly mappable to odorant structure and set out to demonstrate this by training an electronic nose (eNose) to predict odor pleasantness. Haddad had done some previous work on prediciting olfactory receptor responses with an eNose (Haddad etal, 2008). The results of that work combined with the current project demonstrated that odor aspects governing both neural and perception olfactory responses can be captured in part by an eNose.
Article publish in the Sense of Smell Institute site.

Kelly Bag in Holywood/ A bolsa Kelly em Holywood

Continuing with the Kelly Bag issue, the bag also played a part in a Holywood movie Le Divorce, played by the famous american actress Kate Hudson.
In the movie Isabel (Kate Hudson) travels to France to visit her pregnant sister (Naomi Watts).
Arriving in Paris she finds out that her sister's husband has left her for a Russian mistress.
So she decides to stay with her to help with the baby. She also finds an excuse to stay in France to learn more about the culture, the language and about french men.
The movie is a light delicious comedy that turns more spicy when Isabel meets Edgar, played by french charming actor Thierry Lheemitte, who plays a rich politician who is the uncle of her sister's brother.
He seduces Isabel with expensive restaurants and gifts, including the most beautiful bag of all times - a red crocodile leather Kelly Bag.
Isabel begins a secret relationship with the older uncle and pass through a transformation, becoming elegant, more mature and sexier.
The family finds out about the relationship because Isabel goes every where with the Kelly bag, and it seems to be a known habit of Edgar to give Kelly bags to his mistresses, and Hermès echarpes, when he finally wants to get rid of the women.
In the middle of love encounters, family quarrels about relationships and fortune Isabel turns into a chic lady, more mature and more experienced. In the end, she gets rid of the uncle older lover, when she finds out that he had slept with half Paris, including her boss.
The final scene is delicious: Kate Hudson finally free, throws the bag though the window and we see the marvelous piece of art flying around, in the blue skies of Paris.
And than I thought:
The Kelly Bag could fall right into my arms.
After all, the beautiful bag cost nothing less than UDS80,000!!!!!

Grace Kelly reached the dream of all the girls of her age in her time.
Extremely beautiful, blonde and talented, the american girl, born in Pennsylvania, became an actress at the age of 22.
She had the privilege of sharing the scene with famous actors/actresses of her time, like Clark Gable, Ava Gardener, Gary Cooper and Bing Crosby. And to be directed by the genius director Alfred Hitchcock.
In 1954 she won the Oscar for best female performance in the movie The country girl, playing the suffering Bing Crosby's wife.
The blonde lady didn't stop there. One year later she met Prince Rainier III of Monaco during Canne Festival, getting married and becoming Princess of Monaco in 1956.

Admired by her elegance and beauty, Grace Kelly during her pregnancy were constantly seen with an Hermès bag, named after her The Kelly Bag.

In 2007, Maison Hermès created a fragrance in honor of 2 of its famous icons: the Kelly bag created in 1930, and the Calèche fragrance, second of the brand and created in 1961.
Kelly Calèche was design by my favorite perfumer, the in-house perfumer Jean Claude Ellena.
It is a floral-chypre perfume with top notes of rose, narcissus, green notes and lilly-of-the-valley; middle notes of climbing rose, mimosa and tuberose ; and base notes of iris, wood notes and a leather accord.
According to Ellena he was inspired by the high quality leather of the Hermès bags, and he created a fragrance for a modern amazon.

A foto realmente traduz o conceito do perfume.

When I stopped in front of the huge poster displayed by the fragrance shop, I notice something intriging about this fragrance. I saw a woman holding a whip, used for horse races, and a fragrance being carried by the whip. The impact was aggressive. A powerful lady. The perfume is indeed not so feminine. It has this male touch, despite the floral accord. So the picture reflects the strong, skin-type fragrance shade.
It doesn't reveal any audacity or aggressiveness, as one could think of.
You know....lady in leather with a whip....
The reality is that the perfume contains of lack of fragility if you now what I mean.
The leathery notes resist to show, but once they do, they are rather strong and diffuse.
Floral notes are romantic, homogeneously mixed giving a creamy soft touch.
I walked around with the fragrance on me, intercalating moments of joy, reflexion and doubts.
In the end I came to the conclusion that the fragrance is interesting, chic, harmonious and shinny. Like everything that Hermès offers: quality mixing tradition with touches of modernity.
